Hi need some advice  when i start my turn my key my engine fans kick in even if i haven't turned the engine fully on, Once i am driving they stay on which can be quite noisy i have a td4 2002 5 door i have also checked and it is not my FBH  .

Please help the noise is getting quite embarrassing.

PS tghe engine does not overheat and it they come on weather it is hot or cold.

The fans are brought on by a relay R118 switched by a temperature sensor. I think the sensor also does the temperature gauge,so if this is showing normal the relay is probably stuck on.

Not good news, according to RAVE Td4 dont use a relay system.
Attached some info from RAVE you will just have to use a meter a to check where the voltage is coming from. :( :( :(

I read somewhere that the Aircon comes on automatically on Td4 for demist when you start up and goes off a few minute later maybe the off switch is knackered?
