hi, my 300 has twice cut out on me in last week
first time i was going about 20mph when it just died, pulled it over and tried to restart with no luck, i had a look under the bonnet but found no fault, opened drain plug on fuel filter and it dribbled deisel out of it, shut it up and tried her again and she started
since then we have had no problems.
until yesterday
this time i was stationary and it just died, and it wouldnt restart. got her over to the curb and checked fuel again but it didnt work this time. tried a couple of times to restart it with no luck,and the battery went flat. called a mate out with jump leads and instantly the car started and has worked today.
i assumed the engine managment was cutting off due to low power in the battery so connected my battery charger but its hardly drawing 2a, and the indicator on the battery is bright green indicating its fully charged( it was black yesterday when i connected the jump leads coz it was flat)
does anyone have any ideas?
could it be caused by electrical fault else where? perhaps causing the emu to cut out.
