Engine bay wiring?

I noticed that some sheathing ( if thats' the right word ) on the wiring in the engine bay has disinetgrated. This the plastic sheathing that covers most of the engine wiring.It's the bit just under the exhaust manifold that has deteriated, it's close to the exhaust so must get hotter there.
It must be a special type of plastic to cope with the engine bay heat.
Would Land rover sell it,or e bay. I tried e bay but no luck. I also did a search on here first but did not find an answer.Thanks, malc

hi, mine was in a similar state. it literally fell apart in my hands. so i used the wrap around helix type plastic. its used on motorcycle braided brake lines. i did this a couple of years ago and its still ok.
