After months of being "off road" and 6 weeks with Wiltshire Landy Man & Co in Sailsbury.
Getting new Engine, Gearbox, trans Box, Shocks, Axle and an MOT.(and both front wings getting put back the skins popped due to being a weapon in deep water). Got it back on Saturday Morning.:):D

Any way on the way home from Sailsbury to Chippenham, I chose to go Via, Roundway hill Devizes (a BOAT) about 2 miles long all hard standing. However the verge has mud, water rutts.

Now I have not been in my Drover for 5-6months. (what could go wrong):cool:

I saw about 60 or so meters of rutts, in two parts with with standing water an island of 10 meters between them. I looked, at the trees, fence posts (anchor points for the Winch). So 2nd gear, Low range with diff lock on. off I went, only to the water was much deeper then I thought! in fact te further I went in the deeper it, Over the bonnet just about made it to the centre.
I thought i would get the Winch out with a stropp just in case the next part is the same. I then found wich working but rope not comming out or going back in, The rutts had been the same hight as the wheels I could not drive out, I had to go on. I just about made it.

I will NEVER do that on my own! ever again The Golden Rule is The Golden Rule.

I will never ever play with myself again
