Hi, I recently bought an n reg 300tdi disco 1 and have noticed a few electrical anomalies. I'm not sure what the previous owner did to cause this. I have spotted a lot of wax oil inside the car under the carpets where welding has been done. Not sure if anything was disconnected an plugged in incorrectly. Actually I'm sure thats happened. Before I strip things back to investigate I thought it best I ask all of you knowledgable folk for some tips.
1) reverts light is activated by the rear window cut off switch... and subsequently the rear windows don't work at all
2) engine temp not displayed at all, swapped sensor and that's not the problem. Not sure if something simple is causing this. A broken wire maybe but from where?
3) interior light occasionally works
I know I have a lot of wires to play with and some of my issues won't be solvable via the forum but wanted to try my luck anyway. For all I know someone out there has experienced similar problems. Any advice would be most grateful. Thank you
