Electrical problem

My mate's '96 300tdi has got a small intermittent electrical fault. The windscreen washer works but the wipers won't, but they work normally on the other settings, i.e. fast, slow, intermittent etc. Also the heated front screen & rear foglamp play up at the same time as the wipers. When one works they all do...or not.

Anyone else had something similar?

Any ideas please?

Start looking round the engine bay earthing points for something with corrosion, You may need to undo them, clean, vaseline and refit.
