The immobiliser is an arse. Disable it with an eka and use the key. Best thing ive done!
if you "disabled the immobiliser" with EKA you are a genius... though after reading your statement i'm affraid you're not(sorry)... the EKA will remobilise the car once if the fob fails just untill the ignition is switched off that's all(that's why EKA = Emergency Key Access code)... it doesnt "disable" anything, you have to use it again and again untill you disable the immobiliser(alarm) completely with tester or fix the fob-receiver communication... unless the passive immobiliser wasn't disabled previously with tester

I have been told that before but i have inly had to use my eka once. Ever since i can use the key to unlock the door and then turn the ignition on, all without the alarn sounding. What have i done to cause this. The only time i need to reenter my eka is when i disconnect the battery.

it means your passive immobiliser was disabled previously with tester and the alarm set to "always disarm with key", this setting to disable the alarm is good but not if the passive immobiliser is not active... in this status anybody who forces the door lock and knows how to bridge the ignition switch or can turn the ignition with a fake key is well gone with your car, your car's safety is close to 0, maybe the perimetric and volumetric alarms are still working but they'll stop once the ignition is on and the car is perfectly driveable this way .... your choice though
