Electrical gremlins...

For as long as I've owned my hard dash '93 lse, the stereo has been almost silent, and extremely crackly, so I haven't used it. I pulled the speakers yesterday, and found that my lower front door speakers had disintegrated, but that the upper door speakers and the roof speakers appear to be in good condition. Thinking this was a simple case of fitting replacement speakers, I bought some and fitted them this afternoon, but it's not any better. Sound is full of interference and volume is almost zero.

This has all been in radio mode, and when I press CD, the display just reads "error". I don't own any tapes so haven't tried one.

Second problem...sometimes my electric mirrors burst into life and put themselves fully in the 'down' position, so I can't see anything....and can't be adjusted so I have to stop the car and adjust them manually. My rear windows also only work once in a blue moon, but the fronts have always been fine.

Would be nice to get these issues sorted so I can start to enjoy the car.
