Electric window,s

I have done a search but cannot find my problem, my drivers elecrtic window in my 1998 P38 works ok but when just touch the button for it to close the motor seems like its trying to close it to much, is there a adjustment to change how far the window closes

if it makes a clonking noise then the mecanisim inside is knakered and the motor isnt stalling if it thought it had to go further it would come back down again as they have a anti trap function on them ,is very common on these if so go on ebay brand new ones on there for 35 pound lr want 140 pound lmao,had to do mine about a month ago ,when it reaches the top or bottom the motor should just stall no matter what if it trys to go further the teeth have worn away

to adjust the motor you can disconnect the battery then reconnect it then fully open the window till the motor stalls then imediatly close it fully till it stalls will then say window set on the dash job done

Thanks for that, talking to a friend who work at a 4x4 workshop he said he has come acrossed this problem before and he says its the window regulater, i am useing the window in manuel mode untill i get the regulater
