Classic Electric seats

Hi was wondering if any one can help having problems with my electric seats driver side seat control will only work drivers mirror up and and tilt .
Have checked fuses they are ok , changed relay under seat no difference believe it may be seat motor which is a double unit and must be bought together .
Passenger seat just operates tilt and lift but when I try moving it just hear a click.
Problem is drivers is stuck in a forward position as I'm a big lad very akward driving position, priced seat motors and they are not cheap any ideas welcome

Have you got memory function on the drivers seat? If so, then check the ECU under the drivers seat to see if the battery has leaked onto the circuit. If so, get the battery removed and the board cleaned up asap. Replace any damaged chips and put in a NiMh battery instead of the old NiCad.

Yes I have memory function on seat but will only move the mirrors but when I move the switches there is no motor noise where as on passenger seat u hear motor running on tilt and drop but nothing on back or forward .

Follow his advice....the internal battery leaks and corrodes the seat control ECU....

The seat ECU battery may look like this. If you get the battery removed quickly you might be able to save the board from damage. New chips are available on ebay. If the acid destroys the pcb then a new ECU will cost a fortune. Not sure where abouts you are but i found a great electronics guy in Aberdeen who fixed my board for £25.
