electric seat major problem

Hi , looking for help I have a 2000 td5 and decided to put in electric seats , just spent the last 2 days trying to get the $%^&%$ things to work . the wires dont seen to match the seats although they are from the same age car , I have 3 plugs comming from the centre consul to the seats . a brown plug with only 2 wires, a black with 2 wires, and the yellow heated seat one , the brown plug fitted into one from the seat but it had 5 wires comming out of it going to the relay, the yellow one fitted to the heater elements , and nowhere to put the last one. i tested the brown plug but couldnt get any power to it ? any suggestions please apart from a box of matches:amen:

Does the ECU/BECM wotsit? need to be told that you've added leccy seats???

Why do you want lectric seats?

Did you do any research before you started?

Have a word with pocketrocket, he put leccy seats in his, but I think his is a D1 300tdi, so likely to be different!

Just put power seats in mine.you have to add a few wires inc one to bcu and programme bcu with nanocom or similar.will dig out the wiring diagram and forward to you.

just spent the last hour looking at previous posts , wish i had done that first , bet the ecu needs told to provide power. anyonegot any idea of cost of that ?
