electric seat fault

hi guys my 2004 vogue is having a annoying problem with the drivers side electric seat sometimes works and most of the time doesnt had checked by auto electrician but coulkdnt find anything as started working as soon as he got it !!!!the lumbar support bit works but the rest doesnt seems weird checked the fuses seem ok .passanger side works fine apartfrom that really happy with it but as a perfectionist still bugging me!!!!any help would be gratfully appreciated thanks.

Given that lumbar support works indicates that power is getting to the switch unit.

I would suggest removing the switch unit and checking the connectors for security and wiring to them for damage. Also give switches a good blow out.

I had a similar problem and I exposed the back of the switches and gently vacuumed with the brush attachment to get rid of all the "crap" - it seems to have done the trick!
