Electric radiator fan

Hi all, I am new to this forum but not entirely new to land rovers/ range rover.
I have just collected my latest "toy" a 4.6 HSE , from near london, I am near Warrington. On the way home I got stuck in traffic and the temp guage just crept into the red, but once moving again it settled and stayed just below the red zone, ( hot day 30+ degrees) I noticed the twin electric fans on the front of the rad, never came on , they still dont. Can anyone tell me where the sensor for them is and the quickest/ easiest way to by pass the sensor and fit a simple on / off switch for them. Many thanks , Rob

By what I understand the two fans you describe are Air Con fans. I believe the sender is in the wires just before they leave upto the loom.

A few other people have told me they are for air con , cant see why , they would make more sense used to assist the viscous fan on hot days , but its been ok since. Took it out today around an old coliery site loads of hills, drops and mud , seems to be ok now
