Yes, I think so. I accused them of that, but they denied it. I was threatening everyone with the Information Commissioners Office in the end. Eventually, they dropped the fine. It's a major money making scam that is unregulated. I discovered parking fine companies do have a regulating body, but they got together and created it themselves! So, if you want to take your complaint to the highest body, you are just complaining to them about themselves, so they take no notice. They've got it all sewn up and they can be as unprofessional about it as they like. And they are!!

Many of the Parking place enforcers, have a group they belong to, they occassionaly feck-up and are banned for a short period from accessing anyones deets from DVLA, they have to go thru DVLA to get keepers details, and if they don't do it within a certain time ... hazzarr, fine doesn't stand in law ...

Ive had a look at that and it seems to be about speeding. The British Parking Aseociation is the gang of bastaads car parks and ticket issuing companies created to look after their own dirty interests.

Just had a chance to have another look at this @Dippypud TBH I was looking on my phone before, but on the laptop now. If I'm reading it correctly, Private Parking Companies (PPC'S) don't have the legal right to ticket you anyway and you can ignore them? The ticket I was mistakenly sent was for a car park belonging to Sunderland University, but they had a private company issuing tickets for them.

The ' tickets ' from private companies are in fact ' invoices ' as they don't have the right to fine you.

They will tell you all sorts in the print on their bits of paper you send them, but it's all worded to look like you owe them via a fine, when in fact it's an invoice.

Have a look on MoneySavings website, it's all there.

I can feel my blood starting to boil again. Cheeky scum were threatening me with bailiffs and I had never been anywhere near Sunderland for 20 years

It depends if they have the 'right' to ... there was a major court case and the parking twunts won ... given a new lease of venom ...

Yeah, had a run in with one of them when my husband was to and fro for his chemo ... they could not access Keepers details as they'd been barred from applying by DVLA for 12 months and I stupidly responded to the screen ticket ...

Not heard a thing from the money grabber Rent-a-thug for a while now ...

They must have been pretty bad if the DVLA had banned them! Did you just tell them you weren't paying?
Hope hubby is better!
