Got my egr removal ki, spare bolts the lot. Had read a lot on this forum that the Allen bolts can be an issue. Fro two days I soaked them in wd40 . This weekend went for the troublesome bolts, nice and easy, top one released no issue, bottom one stripped the inside head. Bollocks. Luckily I tried these bolts first. Reattached the top bolts and ordered easy out kit from the Internet. Will try again next weekend.

Get a ring spanner ( can't remember size ) one that is a tad smaller than the allen bolt gently tap it on to the bolt so its tight and try that to remove it, it worked for me.

beat a smaller spline /torq but in thats how I shift knackered allen key bolts

ive been doing egr delite on volkwagen tdi's for some years, and some fantastic gains in smoothness on the 5 cylinder engines, one thing to consider when doing it is to take off the manifold and clean it out before everything goes back together with a blank plate fitted, from experiance i does make a slight differance when this is done but the manifold will clear its self the longer the plate stays in place and the engine will feel better and better over time, do expect a little smoke untill warm if the software in the ecu is left alone as it will be overfueling a little tiny bit........
