Egr Kit

HI ALL

I have just fitted a EGR BLANKING KIT to my 300 tdi yno-disco inc a new hose,only took 30 min to fit, i have been runnig it for the last two days, and have to say the old disco now shots along pickup is great and 0 to 50 is a lot faster no more lag, as yno has over 150,000 on the clock it now feels a lot better.

Has any one had probs after fit a EGR KIT?

want to do the same thing to my 300tdi has 146 000 miles on the clock.

Blanked mine off about a year ago, made a big difference low down on my auto, still running sweet with no problems.

I just cut a bit of steel, drilled 2 holes in it and put in in the joint at the front of the engine bay.

Recently while walking on top of the hill at eastnoor castle. I found a stone tablet. etched in the stone were the words 'Loose the EGR, it was a mistake...' after taking it to the RevJames for analysis, I was told that it must have been put there by the god of Land Rover for his disciples to find!!!

I have just had my bro in law QT who dose all the mecanics to have a go in YNO to see what if he thourt it was ok. To say it was OK no probs.
I am after 2 goodyear 225/70/16 t wrangler atr as my last little sortay out in YNO i now have a very nice slash in the wall in one and the outher has a bulge the size of matt lucas, any one got some part worn/new cheap also some steel rims for disco 1 also on the cheap. i for got to say i got the EGR bits off E BAY about £22 inc pandp thats blanking plate and hose, if you want to know item no for disco is 230202977353 defender is 230202976722, hope this help's.
