I have a 2000 TD4 Auto and am thinking of one of these ECU remaps. I have seen them for between £150-£200 and believe it increases the BHP from 112 to 140, so gives you quite a lot more power and increases the MPG. Has anyone had any experience of these and if so, do they actually work and once done do they need remapping again after so many miles?
Thanks

consider one of these ..

Synergy 2 from tuning-diesels.com

~~~~~~
whether ecu remap .. or a plugin box like the synergy ..
your engine will have to be in good shape to start with .. ..
do a LZsite search for 'remap' and 'synergy' for info and opinions on both :)
I had my last TD4 (03) remapped by Remapping and Chip Tuning Specialists : Torquing BHP Ltd and the performance and fuel efficiency increased greatly. The extra torque was absolutely tremendous, it really pulled far better.
I will be getting my recently aquired 05 TD4 HSE done as soon as I can afford it. More expensive than a plug in, but the service is highly professional and experienced. Contact name is Darrell Coutinho.
Can anyone give me an idea of the cost of a new Air Con Condensor/Radiator for a 2000 Freelander TD4 Auto?. I have tried Paddocks Landrover who are normally very good on prices but they do not stock air con parts.
Thanks
Steve
