Hi I have a disco 2 2000 and have a problem with electrics not my favourite thing I get a fault code with my nano com Ecu ground fault or reference ground fault . I have done all the ground terminals that I can find inc the block behind the left side kick panel and all the ones in the engine compartment as I said not my favourite item electrics so any help please I am getting the 3 amigos plus hand brake indicator on ??? I can turn it off with nano com and some times switch of the engine leave for a couple of mins the restart and every thing goes normal for a while then they all come back on ?? its doing my brain in

Yes understand that had it before I changed all wheel sensors all bearings ok if it was sensors or wheel bearing then why can I sometimes drive for a week or so without any signs of 3 amigos or with 1 handbrake light on

Hi, the reference earth is coming to the ECU through the modulator from one of the earth points which are in front of the airbox, you'll have to check continuity to earth in the ECU plugs C0505-12(black wire) and in C0506 - 3(black/grey wire), disconnect the battery and those connectors to check... if you get continuity in both replace the ECU if no earth in one of them report which one and we'll speak then... for the connector pinouts check the electrical library

turned out to be both just my luck still it is a land rover . got that sorted so did a service on the old girl now it wont start , My son who also drives it said he has not heard the fuel pump running lately so going to change that as well now perhaps that will also cure the surging . never ending saga of owning a Land rover .So now I know where all the earth points are did not realise how many there are ??
Many thanks for you help
