P38A ECU 2.5 DSE from EGR engine on NON EGR replacement question

Thanks Wammers. Yes I did read it, but I'd already paid for the other ECU. I'll get onto the other things this week. Fingers crossed for the weather.
Just to reiterate. If you now have an early engine with an early head, 1997 and back, the plastic manifold will not fit. The first three flanges go the opposite way and the early heads do not have anywhere to fit studs for the first three upper flange position. So you are stuck with the alloy manifold. Sort out the senders and all should be well just leave the MAF and EGR modulator fitted. Disconnecting the MAF although it does nothing other than control EGR can cause the ECU to have a fit because it is expecting signals it is not getting. Good luck.

Bloody car. Went out side to see about the work to be done. Ran up the engine and guess what I found? A geyser of diesel hitting the top of the bonnet. Arrgh bloody P38s. o_O

Anyway - the diesel is coming out of the plate highlighted in yellow. Is this just a case of an o ring from Diesel Bob or similar? What part is it please?
Thanks again guys
Hoppy

Plate is cover for timing device. Hope that's not the pump fitted to your car, if it is no wonder it's running like shit.:D:D

Hahaha No that's not mine. It's taken me 3 days to find a pic of the pump from the opposite side so I can show the forum which bit is leaking. It looks like an o ring is bulging or it's decayed. Too tight to get in with all the ancils on the engine.
Ah what a learning curve this car is!
