Blatant ringer

I've just messaged him asking what's tax exempt other than the reg.
See if he replies...

Anyone missing a red 90?

This is what the DVLA has:

Date of Liability 01 06 2014 Date of First Registration 07 11 1973 Year of Manufacture 1966 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 2495cc CO₂ Emissions Not Available Fuel Type HEAVY OIL Export Marker N Vehicle Status Licence Not Due Vehicle Colour GREEN Vehicle Type Approval Not Available

Not sure where you get the 'red' from  though it's highly likely I'm missing something

The 90 is red underneith so people quickly paint nicked ones and put series plates on with an old log book and can sell em on.
Hence the Matt finish poor paint job.
Just a thought if anyone is missing there red 90.

Red inside and visable around the doors. Absolutely a ringer and very probably stolen

Reported but needs lots more. Anyone who pays honest money for this (and that might include the present owner) risks having it impounded :(

Manufactured in 1966 and registered 1973 would get you tax exempt status. But that is obviously a 90. Coils at each corner, 90 dash, wind-up windows, its all there, a 90

Yes but surely a percentage of the hybrid vehicle must be of the original registered one with the original tax exempt chassis. That chassis is definately not the original 1966 one. She's a ringer.

nope.

Pre SVA you could cut down any chassis and practically do what you wanted and as long as it passed an mot and had a registration it could be driven on the road.

you could have a range rover chassis with disco running gear, a defender body and a series registration.

You didn't have to prove anything to anyone and the points system hadn't been introduced yet. Thats why its difficult to prove without speaking to visa/dvla. Hence the reason we report them. If there done legally then no drama, if there not then they get it taken off them and crushed.

I take it that's the reason why the SVA was introduced then?
