Hi.

Got the annoying failure of 1 & 2 on the heater blower switch recently. It seems all us Freelander 1 owners do!

The fix turned out to be easy so I thought I'd share it. After being told it was the heater resistor pack and quoted £42 + VAT by the main dealer I thought 'no way' so I got on to ebay.

If you've got the same problem you should try a Rezpax repair kit for around £7.50 with a lifetime guarantee. Once It came it took me a couple of hours to sort mine and it works perfectly.

take a look at rezpax.com then get on to ebay.

It fits all Freelander I models with VIN from 1A000001 to YA999999
I've also got a blow by blow history of how I did it in a pdf file. Don't tell anybody but I pinched the pictures from the Rezpax site. If you think it'll help just send me your email address and you can have it.

Got to agree:)

I had the same issue with my Freelander and used the Rezpax kit - the resistors look much better quality than the originals as well.

These kits also work for the MGF & TF and possibly most of the Rover range.
