There are various tutorials and videos around to help with the software.
First thing is to make sure the COM port is set correctly. If you're using the USB to serial adaptor, you need to go into device manager on your computer and see which COM port has been assigned by the computer. Mine keeps changing so I have to do this every time I use it. Then when you start the software, you have to set the COM port in the software or it won't communicate properly.
Turn the ignition on - you will probably get a max speed 35mph message on the dash, but this is just the diagnostic mode cycling - don't worry about it.
Once that's done, click initialise and wait for the receive buffer to fill with a stream of FFs.
If that's all ok, then click
Read Faults or whatever it is.
After a slight pause it should show you what the EAS thinks is wrong with itself.
You should be able to then clear them. Can't rememebr what the button is for that but it's fairly obvious.
Then click
Unlock EAS. That should re-enable the EAS. You then need to exit the program and unplug your cable from the socket (otherwise the EAS detectes the adaptor as a computer and goes into diagnostic mode again (and displays the 35mph max message on the dash). Then turn the ignitiion off and on again and bob will hopefully be your uncle.
The extended height light on the dash should go out, the message centre should no longer say EAS Fault, and you should not have all the lights on on the height indicator.
You might want to have the engine running when you do this though as the air tank might be empy and running the compressor for too long will flatten the battery.
Have a watch of some of the videos here ...
