Hi all. My eas started acting up a while ago and i haven't had the time to do the seals etc. So, the car had a valve kit on it so i topped it up and pulled the relay from under the passenger seat. I thought this would stop the eas altering the heights but it still goes up and down on its own!
I only use it at weekends but i can nip to tesco and it will look like its in m/way or standard, when i set off, but when i get to tesco it can be as high as 530mm hub to arch. When i get back home it might have dropped back to standard or it might do it overnight. there is no pattern to it and it doesnt always do it evenly. sometimes one side higher others maybe front or back higher.
So, anyone got a clue or is it possessed?
Oh yes, its a 2000 2.5 dse auto.

The relay under the seat is only the timer for the automatic levelling when the car is turned off.
As you say that the system will raise and lower, albeit by itself, then what you have left is the electronic control system. What electronics hate is moisture so I would suspect that the EAS ECU is damp. From the sound of it, it might be beyond just drying out, it might be replacement time.

Where did you fit the valve kit? Normal method is to pull the pipes from the EAS box and fit valves on the end then there can be no interferance from the electronics.
As for fixing the EAS, you need to put it on diagnostics, if you have a windows laptop, I can supply the diagnostics for a modest sum.
