Eas pump. Thermal overload chip

I brought an Eas pump that was dead when connected to my RR on checking i found the thermal overload chip was open circuit. the photo shows it rivited to the base plate and the base plate has four more rivits holding it down, has anyone managed to replace this chip? :)

Yes, several people have reported doing it, you can get the Airpax chip from RS or Farnell if memory serves me correctly. I have them in stock but for the wrong temperature.
