Hi all,
Have fitted Druims pump run LED mod and have to say it is very good. With my pump being almost silent when it runs and having my HEVAC on auto most of the time it is good to know how often my pump kicks in. Happy to report that on initial start up in the morning it runs for a couple of min,s to replenish tank then stops, only cycling for a few seconds once in a while. I located the LED into the lower panel under the steering wheel to the right of my knee so whilst driving you can see it out of the corner of your eye. Only takes an hour to do and is well worth it.:):)

Pictures? And link to Druim's fix?

My pump isn't silent. If I listen I can hear it but then I guess I know what I am listening for. Spent enough time tinkering with it!

Sorry Grrrrrr, did not take any pictures and can not find the link to Druims mod, it is very easy to do though. Purchased a pre wired LED for a couple of quid, connect the live side to the solid green wire that comes out of the EAS ECU, ( be watchfull as there are 2/3 striped green wires) then connect the other LED wire to any earth, I then just ran wires to where I wanted to mount LED, drilled small hole in panel and inserted LED, job done.
Hope this helps
Paul:)

Waste of time IMO, pump running does not mean it's making pressure.
Hi,
agree with you there datatek but surely if pump runs to often then there is a problem within the system. I know my pump is good having only recently refurbished and testing it to make sure it produces good air and is why the mod rarely lights up. Surely if members were to use this mod it would help to ensure there system was ok as in no leaks or worn pump.

I overhauled my EAS nearly 5years ago, it's been fine without an LED, I prefer good maintenance.

Lots seem to run more than RAVE would suggest. Mine kicks in at 135psi, way above where it should. Replaced the pressure switch to no avail. Fretted about it for ages but all seem OK so now I just trust it does its thing. Maybe on day I'll try and capture some live data using the Nanocom. Might be interesting to keep a database of other people's readings for comparison.
