Well i managed to get the EAS software working on windows 7 last night (As I am computer illiterate I was most impressed with myself) and got it to talk to the P38 etc and cleared the error. Started it up and the car lifted the rear up a bit then went back into error mode.

Im a bit crap when it comes to diagnosing systems like this, but my theory is...

well its pumped up a bit so obviously the compressor is working?
as it was the front right that was low originally, im guessing that the leak is bad enough that the compressor isnt building up enough pressure within a certain time period so its shutting down to protect itself?

Thats a guess???

Ive a new airbag to go on this weekend, and also I was going to order a compressor servicing kit (just to be on the safe side)

Am I on the right track ? Any thoughts welcome :)

oh does the eas software tell you that? it was getting late when i did this last night.

but basically all the lights came on and the 35mph on the dash.

List the fault code we may be able to point you in the correct direction. Read my EAS How to in the "How to" section it may help you along.

yeah i did have a read :)

just been so busy this week havent had a chance to look at anything else yet other than getting the pc talking to it.

i was chuffed to bits getting that working as i really am crap at computery things. Just because I am a design engineer it gets assumed I know about IT stuff. I hate it when the bloody IT people get on the phone talking computer jargon too me.

"EH" is generally what comes out of my end

going to give the engine a good service and check over as its not running ..quite.. right. But I am a bit deaf over certain tones. Might be something might be nothing

plugs, ht leads, oil and filter change, etc etc ive not really lifted the bonnet yet!!!

most importantly, im picking up some drug dealer esque wheels on friday ;)

Interpretation of the fault codes is the key. 99 on 100 a valve stuck open or shut for instance does not mean there is a valve physically stuck open or closed. It means some other action has been requested by the ECU and has not happened so the ECU thinks a valve is at fault. First thing you need is air pressure, you can do nothing without that. So first of all you need a good compressor that is filling the tank. Until you have that you will be going around in circles. Logical steps will sort it out.

well managed to get it up and running today :)

didnt replace the airbag yet as its absolutely lobbing it down. But really pleased there is obviously nothing "major" up with it. :)

well its all fixed, it was indeed the front left airbag.

I was a bit scared when the change went far too well, took 25 minutes start to finish with not a single swear word or anything!

Pumped up instantly and has sat there overnight.

Well chuffed :)

Thanks for the help
