HELLO I NEED HELP AND SOME ADVISE.

EAS fault came up 3 months ago and the car sat up in top position and would not co-operate with any manual pushes on the switch.

I took the car to a landrover garage in halifax. The mechanic reset the fault and took out the presure switch on the compresor ( i think he may have cleaned it, but unsure what he did with it).then he refitted it

Last week the EAS FAULT APEARED AGAIN and sat in highest position for a day then i messed with the compresor and it sat on the bump stops.

I drove it to RCV landys in donny and they reset the fault and replaced what they said was a leaking rear airbag( hmmmm, was not convinced that was the fault ).

4 days ago im up in scotland and the EAS fault apears again. I managed to get a garage to reset the fault and the fault was logged as high presure.

What do i need to do to stop this happening again?.

thanks ewan:(

Ewan,

If it were me, I'd take it back to Land Rover Halifax and tell them they havent fixed it.

I hate that some of these Official garages only seem to know how to fix a 2006 Vogue and have no knowledge or experience with RRC/P38's.

In my experience I've found them to "guess" what is wrong and not doing a full testbook or look things up. Again its really down to knowledge and experience.

When I go to an Offical LR garage, I expect 100% perfection....shame I never receive it.

Last time, I made a complaint to LR HQ and filled out a customer complaint form against my local LR garage.

The pressure signal constantly high signal is usually caused by one of two things, first a sticking pressure switch - not common now and not fixed by blowing it out with the airline ! The second is a failing EAS drive pack which is a potted unit that operates the valves - it is bolted to the valve block in the EAS box with the compressor.

MANY THANKS

ORDERED A PRESURE SWITCH.( ARIVES MONDAY).

The eas driver unit. Is it expensive?, and is it easy to fit?.
Also wil the car need to go back on test book after fitting?.

many thanks ewan:)

The drive pack is ANR3900 I think and its about £175 +VAT retail, not hard to fit,and no need for Testbook as long as the ECU is not in fault state.
