I'm after some help now I've decided to attempt to fix my suspension and its mysterious faults once and for all.
So here is the scenario:
I can be driving along minding my own business when the suspension decides that it is no longer happy at the normal setting and decides to go to the top seeting. When this happens an EAS fault is imminent, but not the max 35mph fault, just a general EAS fault. Every time the fault is linked to the RR height sensor.
More recently I have been driving along an the EAS goes into fault without any prior warning. Again this is not the Max 35mph fault, just a general EAS fault. However, after I switch off the engine get out and lock the vehicle, on my return the fault has reset itself!!!!!!!
I'm sure I read someone having this issue before but I couldn't find it when I searched, anyone got any ideas?
I have also notice the RR does sit higher than the RL occasionally and this seems to occur when the EAS fault appears, this then seem sto level itself when it is reset, or resets itself????
I'm plannig on selling th ecar soon so I want to make sure it's tip-top for the next owner.

Cheers

Just change the right rear sensor, it's giving erratic readings which causes a soft fault that re-sets itself. It will eventually go to a hard fault. Had the same symptoms with a front right sensor.
You will need the free software from www.rswsolutions.com the re-calibrate the height of the RR sensor.

Thanks for the replies, you're far too efficient.

Datatek, I have the free EAS Calibrate software, any pointers how to use it? And are the sensors straight forward to change? I've seen them and they look like it's just a couple of rusty bolts holding them on.

Cheers

Change the sensor, then use the software to re-calibrate the heights, there is a help on the software which will direct you to a video on how to do it. It took a couple of hours to re-do all the settings on mine, just needed a tape measure :)

Been there- may not be sensor. Get cable and software and post the results.

I also considered the height sensors, but my messages on the software were - Pressure signal Constantly high and vehicle has moved.

I replaced the driver pack and now is running perfect.

Thanks for the advice. I get the two same errors you get but also the RR sensor fault. I'll post the results from the software later.

Cheers

Use the software to read the current heights and write them down. After you have replaced the sensor, just adjust that corner to give the same reading as the one you wrote down and it will probably be OK.
Pressure signal constantly high can be due to a worn compressor.
Vehicle has moved is always there and can be disregarded.
