i had lots of faults like that on my p38 and nearly crapped myself when i put it on the fault code reader at work and the only bloody thing it did not tell me that the alternator was not charging be worth checking that. but you will have to have all the codes cleared for the suspension will not work if the dreaded slow 35 mph eas fault and the lights are flashing like a Christmas tree oh happy days

Thanks ill get a volt metre on the car and check. I keep trying to clear the codes with software but it wont do it???

As others have said, make sure your battery voltage is good (12.5V or more) and the alternator is charging. Then clear the faults, if any faults re-appear after that they are likely to be real. If you are unable to clear the faults, check the OBD connector contacts are clean.

I presume the EAS software has initialised correctly and the STATUS = Green? and that you have clicked on the Unlock EAS button?

A lot of the faults listed are irrelevant, but " Air supply fault" may mean your compressor is not working.

the status is red mate,

Then your fault list is not from the car:eek: as you have not properly established communication between the EAS software and the car:(:(

If you are using Vista and a USB to serial adaptor that could well be the problem. Read the info about communication problems on the RSW site:)

if i turn the idle speed up on the software it comes up green when running. it still wont clear the codes or unlock the eas.

You sometimes need to re-start the software once you have a setting that works, try turning the ignition off and back on. The status must be green to do anything:D

Just checked on there web site, and they say you have to use there lead? Ive been using one i got with vag com, its a ob2 lead to serial. Could this be my problem?

The lead is a specially wired one and only works with the RSW software, so forget the vag lead....

Obtain the correct lead and try again......

Right i would like to say a big thank you to p38on22s for popping round with the right lead. I used his lead and got height fauls on 3 sensors saying the height was too low. So with his advice i jacked up both sides of the car. Cleared the codes started up the car no message on the dash. All the heights work fine. Thanks again mate for your help. I am going to leave the car over night and see it all is fine in the morning. Now all ive got to do is sort out the fuel leak !!!!!

just ran the program again, i am getting the fault codes..... fr height sensor,, rr height sensor. So i take it i have two get new sensors then???

Unplug them and clean the plug and socket connectors, use contact cleaner and plu/unplug several times. Put them back and see if is any better. Had trouble on mine with water in the connector which threw the resistance reading out of kilter. I sealed all round the connector with silicone grease once I knew it was OK:D
