Hello, I have a strange fault on my P38's EAS. When the vehicle is in high ride height I can select the "down" button without a problem and the EAS lowers correctly. However, from this position if I select Access Mode the 10A fuse blows immediately.

Can anybody shed any light on this problem, please?

could be wiring trapped somewhere shorting out. i doubt its any kind of fault within the software of the eas system.

dunno if theres a solenoid/valve that could be causing it????

Sorry - F29.

It looks as though the problem must be in the Air Suspension ECU, as the BECM is not downstream of the Down selection on the ride height switch, and if it was a harness problem than the fault would occur when selecting normal height from high - unless I am missing something obvious...

Which year and model is your P38, diesel or petrol. Pre 99 the fuse F29 is shown in RAVE as 20amp and affects the ignition key solenoid lock:confused: Need more info.

OK post 99 it affects the EAS delay turn off timer, which I think is the relay under the passenger seat, might just be that. It doeas not seem to supply the EAS ECU, so it is also possible that it is a wiring fault with the loom chaffing somewhere when the suspension is lowered.

F29 is the main supply fuse for the delay relay and, when it operates, the EAS ECU. However, this still wouldn't explain why it's blowing when 'Access' is selected. This same fuse also supplies the air valve block. You would think that selecting Access uses the same valves as when selecting low from high but the fact that it blows the fuse would say there's another valve there that comes into play.
