I would also quote that it would be just another customer who uses the forum having negative feedback towards their company and their lack of support when returning defective products that they have sold . State that you took the chance with them despite extremely poor reviews throughout the forum. That might get them shifting - might not also though - but worth a chance
Washers the right way up and not tightened up too much?
Yep
Bot concave down
Top concave up.
Nuts just a tad over finger tight

I will see if i have a refurb one in the workshop mate and message you, though do not give up pestering rimmers to get a new one of them or refund.

Many thanks Kurt. I will source only from you now having read all the posts so really, as soon as you have one, I would be grateful. Just about to go and video WITH sound for my campaign against Rimmers.....and only a refund-will not entertain a replacement. Ironically have had to ditch a steering stabiliser(2 months old) from them last week as well so more ammunition! Have opted for the Australian Recovery one so fingers crossed.
Cheers

They are not always bad but there after service and warranty arrangements leave a lot to be desired. They buy a lot of Chinese products that basically are not worth their weight in scrap. It seems to be going on everywhere though these days

That's a pity. Rimmers used to be very good and always gave a refund if you returned the product in the box.

You are all right and I will be polite as always! I have a friend who was so disappointed with the quality of parts from a well known Jag supplier when he was doing up his E-type that he started his own company. He designs and produces performance parts for many classic cars using only British suppliers. It is not big but is already a very well respected supplier. Just a shame P38's are slightly too late for him. He does brake kits for Classic RR's though if anyone is interested!
