On hols in Italy, probs starting then no starter motor, towed off m/way. Turin Landi garage , new starter motor and 'all been checked and connected OK'.... 2/7 later probs again!!! crawled under and found earthstrap about to fall off side of gear box...gggrrr. All tightened up, 2nd bolt put on for a bit of security and all back to normal.
yea , big mistake, should've crawled under and just sorted it meself !!

ps RAC European Breakdown Cover - brilliant +++, reimbursed tow off to garage, free taxi to a fair hotel, 2 night B and B for wife and self - all pre paid and a 2 day break in Turin which is worth a visit. Bet the RAC won't make much out of my £121 annual breakdown cover that give multitrips for 30yr old T2 VW and the Defender!!!!
