earth radio in fusebox - will this work?

Hi all,

I finally got round to buying a radio and speakers for my 110 today, hopefully we're nearly ready to go, just need to earth it somewhere.

My idea is to attach the earth to this nut in the fusebox, I reckon this should be connected to bulkhead and should be fine? But not knowing the first thing about electrics, I thought it worth checking on here before I go ahead and very bad things result

Yes it will work ... you can also use the ones holding the fuse panel on.

No but just make sure it's secure and shielded.

even if you dont know a lot about electrics. it would be a good idea to get a multimeter (avo). they start from about a tenner. you could then check out basic electrical problems. select the ohms scale for finding earth points.

my plan is to put the ring washer on the wire behind nut and tighten, then fit fusebox cover back - does this qualify as secure and shielded enough?
