I've been offered an early siii diesel for a ton. No MoT, but it is tax exempt. It drives around on private tracks ok. Anything I need to know/check for or should I just go for it?

^^ my thoughts exactly.
terrible thing to say but the paperwork alone is worth £250+

If you can get 'im on the road it'll save you a steady £200/yr over driving a later one. That's gotter be worth a bit of welding ...!

ohh... i have a picture

Owner recons it's 1969 series II now. But it's such a cheap price I'm gonna get it I recon and just see what it's like.

1971 series3 came into production, if its a 1969 it will be tax free, one little thing picked up on the picture was the pop rivets in the passenger foot well. as its a tress point this would have to be seam welded, but it depends on the bloke who does the mot,i would give it a good look over the chassis before commiting to buy.

100 notes... Why the hell are you even asking?!

And i do belive it is a late 2A with Headlights in the wing that someone has taken the wire grill off and put a plastic one on although i may be wrong. It also has a 2.5 Engine ;)
