Hi All
Just a question about chassis really.
I'm not a RR owner at the moment but I have had a couple of Classics in the past and a few early Discos and currently have a TD5 Disco.

Right the Question I have at some point been told that the early P38 had a Galvanised Chassis so I wanted to check with you guys if this is true.
If so what years were they like that.
Thanks

I am not 100% sure they were galvanised, but the P38 chassis is well known for being exceptionally strong and rust proof.....chassis rust on a P38 is not very common (it does happen obviously - but they are by far the most rust proof off all Land Rovers built to date!)

That being said, the fittings like bumper bolts, etc can be a sod as they do tend to rust!!

Got to admit mine is 21 years old now and the chassis looks great. Guessing it might not look so good if it was near the sea? Roads might be more heavily salted in Sheffield too.
