Spot on RS, I thought it was very interesting too. :)

Dan at TerraFirma says go for wire, it's not much heavier and a lot cheaper.

Yep Dan's a salesman alright. Me and me mate bought TerraFirma mod springs with a 1.5" lift and TerraFirma shocks, so not a bad day for him, as between us we spent well over a grand.

I've been looking at the Superwinch LP8500 on a bumper from First 4 Off Road as a package for £485.

SUPERWINCH LP8500 WINCH WITH DEFENDER WINCH BUMPER on eBay, also, Other Vehicle Parts Accs, Other Vehicle Parts Accs, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 19-Jun-09 18:34:29 BST)

The advert says it comes with a powder coated hawse and cable rather than roller fairlead and cable. I suppose you get what you pay for. Although I had similar concerns of a car parkk shunt with the Roller Fairlead. I really like these bumpers and I have a new set of bumper mounting LR driving lamps to go on as soon as I get it. I think this will make it look a little more individual as everyone has A bars. Also I'll get more airflow through the intercooler and I should be able to get the rad muff on and off easier.

I need to get a job before buying this or the missus will go ballistic! I've just bought a new set of tyres, new springs and shocks and the tax needs doing! Aaarrgghh!

1st 4 are a very good company. A good friend od mine got his shadow bumper and 8274 from them (Its his old red 110 on their website) and their service was outstanding. Like the advert says, they provide everything nc wiring etc. which will cost more than you think. I would also imagine they will supply 35mm square cable over standard 25mm. I am sure they will supply the right fairlead for the cable, give them a ring to discuss if your unsure prior to parting with your $$$.

Good quality bumper to.
