After a lot of reading on LZ it would appear that my lack of power is due to the pipe from the map being disconnected. Problem is I can't find the pipe at all. It's definitely not connected to the map, where should the other end be? I can't see anything hanging down or loose. If it's gone all together what is the replacement part number?

Cheers

It goes from the MAP sensor to a spigot on the underside of the inlet manifold around about the cylinder 5 area. The spigot sometimes gets blocked with crud.

Ta. I think I've found where it should be connected but it aint there.

Good quality spill pipe will do it. Or Silicon vac pipe, even though it is a pressure pipe from manifold to MAP sensor. Actual part number is STC4165 but i don't think you would pay Land rovers £27.00 for a length of spill pipe no matter how good a quality it was.;):D

It would have to be made of extruded diamonds for that money!

Plastic manifold or alloy?
Plastic.

Well, there's a damn sight more poke with the map disconnected. Still not overly fond of hills, though.

The MAP sensor tells the ECU the manifold pressure. The ECU then injects fuel to suit that pressure. If MAP fails or electrical contact to ECU is lost ECU will use a preset. Usually if all else is ok lost of power on hills is due to a duff lift pump.

It feels more like the auto box is changing up when it shouldn't. I'll check the pump anyway, Ta.

Do you have a ‘power box’ fitted?

You want a VDO lift pump, £40 jobbies not worth the box they are in, be lucky get 6months outta them.
No box. I was thinking of putting a Ronbox on it but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'll do the pump test sometime this week if I finish early enough that there's still light.
