Hi. I have a 1981 series 3 landrover on a fuel braking system. What size will my fitting be the rear brake pipes. The cylinders and the 2 t-junction. I belive both the junction and the t peice r the same thread just the screws r different lengths does the length matter? And what r thr sizes of the the fittings thanks

Could be imperial or matric, should prpbably be metric but more recently a some of the after market cylinders seem to be turning up imperial regardless of the part number. Do a very careful check of the spanner size but its hard to tell as imperial are 7/16 and metric are (I believe) 11 mm. I have used to have known metric and known imperial fittings and try them in the threads, now I've changed it all to imperial so i know what;s going on.

That year was a bit of a mix at the landrover factory. Brummies were very reluctant to adopt foreign measurements. 1981will have some metric and some imperial, also previous owners may have changed the odd. I think I'd just see which spanner fits best.
