Hi all

Just wondering what price should i expect to pay to have the clutch replaced on my 96 DTI300 following on from my recent thread about `dealer dishonesty` ive now decided to my Disco but i am a little concerned about that fact my clutch pedal is quite high up before biting and although i have 1 and half months left on my `GOLD WARRANTY`(take that with a pinch of salt) it dosent cover clutch wear n tear !!!

If i have to take it somewhere (wish i could do it myself but wouldnt know where to start) what would be a fair price to expect to pay and what Qs should i ask so as not to have my pants pulled down from a garage or dealer.

Problem is they blind you tech talk and tell you it has to have a `Johnson Rod` installed and i wouldnt know any diffrent.

Any advice be great

Thanks guys

Jay

Hi
You dont change a clutch unless it's slipping! Got nothing to do with the clutch pedal height.

But to answer your question around the £350 mark.

Thanks for the reply,
yes somone else did mention not to worry too much until i notice any slipping but i thought ask for a price guidance just incase, now im armed with a rough idea of price

Thanks

Jay

How many miles it done?

As long as your not a "slippy clutch merchant" they go on for ever.I have just changed mine (127k) as a precautionary measure whilst changing gearbox and it was sweet as:)
