DSE - Clutch signal always closed

For starters, I'm refering to a 1998 2.5 DSE manual P38.

In an attempt to diagnose my Cruise Control problems (ie, not working), I've concluded that the BECM is constantly getting a closed signal for the clutch sensor. This is what I believe is preventing the CC from engaging, as getting a clutch pressed signal will disengage the CC.
The sensor at the pedal is OK (tested with a multimeter for continuity) and I've traced the wires back to the BECM and the signal is getting there OK too (open and closed circuit as it should be). But, when plugged into diagnostics, the BECM reports the clutch as being always pressed.

So, if the cables and sensor are OK (as they seem to be), I'm thinking that the problem must lie within the BECM itself ?

Also, the first time i tried to diagnose this, i plugged it in to a Testbook. And it showed the various voltages that I should have at the cruise control circuit, according to what buttons were pressed. I can't find this info anywhere on the Internet. Does someone know anything about this ?

Cheers,
