righttttttttttttttttttttttttttt,

it occured to me this morning over a cup o tea that i may have installed the upper spring on my rear brakes wrong and that the wheel cylinder may need adjusting. this would cause the pumping of the brakes and not air in the system.

so:

1: does the wheel cylinder have an adjuster, where is it, and how do i adjust it?
2: where does the upper spring locate to?

at the moment the spring runs from shoe to shoe as i thought it needed this to return the pads back away from the drum. and i just shoved my wheel cylinders in without thinking

I guess all you bastards are out laning!

well i sorted it now. i had the shoes on wrong as the snail cam wasnt working. now the pedal works fine. but when i went to adjust the snail cam. i moved it too much and it got really tight and i snapped the stud off the brake show! so i wont get a test run until tomorrow night now :(

i is having to WORK!!! (i know its unusual) to catch up on a big order. Sad individual that I am - i is on here fur some company:rolleyes:

I even had to turn down doing a lane in my super new bobtailed disco :(

Ok so there int one in me gallery. Heres a pic of the shoes with springs attached as they would be if they were fitted to the backplate. The forward end of the Top spring is hoked onto the back plate. The bottom spring is attached to the shoes at both ends. An as Floppy sez the snail cam needs to be adjusted so the brakes are binding then backed off enough to stop them binding.
