Dropped in the drink, now it won't start!

Hi there,
Before you do anything to drastic - i'd check that no wires have come off the back of the ignition barrel - my wifes Disco 200Tdi did exactly the same - fine one day wouldn't start the next - the wire had just come unsoldered for some reason - 5 minute job - if you can work upside down.
