Had my 90 for a month and it’s developing a few “characteristics” as they do!
At low speed and particularly when it’s cold the steering drones if I need to turn sharp (like a u turn or 3 point turn)
Anything simply I can look for? Been told possibly steering pin oil/grease, had a quick look at what’s involved and looks pretty simple to do.
Anything else it could be??

All three of my Defender TD5’s have moaned when on full lock or during low speed steering manoeuvres.
I’d love to know the solution if there is one!

full lock is oil pressure relieving as it cant do anything but increase once full lock is achieved

Is it a td5 and if so does it have the correct CCF pas fluid? assuming the def td5 is the same as the disco td5?

Mine does this too so watching this thread. Assumed it was 'just one of those things'...
its worth jacking front end up and ensuring wheels will push from lock to lock smoothly but stiffly with drag link connected ,then freely with drag link disconnected, your checking pas box ,swivels and damper are ok,large tyres increase the pressure needed to steer especially when stood or moving very slow, you will allways get noise in full lock, but at other times its generally a sign pumps wearing, ive had occasions were box was needed, but usually its pump, its worth checking reservoir to see if oil is becoming frothy when steering is worked
