thinking of buying a set can anyone tell me if they are simple to fit or do i need to take to the dealers thanks in advance

Firstly I hope you get a bargain. I paid around £40 for mine on ebay for the genuine LR kit which retails at £250. The kit is easy to fit and comes with full instructions. There is some cutting , but not removal,of the front bumper and some dashboard dismantling and reassembly but the wiring is simple. Go for it they are brilliant ! Literally.

I think it's been posted before, might come up if you search.

The chunky appearance is just a step too far IMHO..

It just involves a drill, small file, screwdrivers and abit of tape, think I also used a skewer to help get the wire through the grommet in the bulkhead into the cabin. The hardest bits in fitting is the drilling the hole in the bumper (I didnt want to cut a hole in my nice new car) and pushing the wires throught the grommet but that was just fiddly not hard.
Their is a link in the other post which has a picture in it of the hole that has to be cut in the bumper. The instructions are very good it involves lots of pictures aswel which is handy.

thats some hole jordan would be proud of that think i will give it a miss i would make an arse of it what did you cut it with thanks

Its a realy simple hole to cut out if you use the template, you stick it on the bumper using masking tape or similar, then you simple pilot drill (about 3mm) through the paper template and the bumper where you are shown by the crosses. Then take the template off and use a junior hacksaw blade (opps forgot to mention this) to cut between the holes, rather like an adults dot to dot. Then just file the edges so its neat and straight.
you also have to drill 3 off larger holes (8mm I think) for the securing screws to pass through.
