Drivers Side front side light

Hi Guys,
I am getting a error message on dash saying the drivers side side light has failed. I have changed the bulb and its still not working, have the MOT booked in next week and they are F**kers for failing bulbs. Any ideas?

A warning light for a blown bulb wont fail an mot and the tester will see that the light is working

the light isnt working though, i dont know why it wont.

Sorry, didn't read that bit. Check and see if the light is getting power with a multi meter, check the wiring.

If I remember right, the wiring near the bulb holder has a couple of plugs, just check that they are not corroded

Check the earth point and the bulb holder for corrosion.

well stupid me didnt check the connection!! i put a bit of switch cleaner and pushed it firmly in and it lit up like a christmas tree!! problem sorted!

Does that mean it's flashing on and off and changing colour to the tune of jingle bells?
