Freelander 1 Drivers Side Front Indicator...

Changed a yellow indicator bulb on daughters facelift TD4.....Found out about the 'under wing access' panel vefore attempting. Old bulb replaced..indictator back online. Old bulb looked okay but replacement sort it. Forgot to test old bulb afterwards....my bad...

I had an indicator bulb go and replacement stopped working.

I noticed on the plug thing that the bulb plugs into it looked a bit burnt. Off came the bumper so that I could get the light unit out, had a look in and one of the electrical contacts for the indicator bulb holder was completely burnt away. I filled it with solder and refitted everything and it worked for a couple of years - but eventually that bit of solder must have fallen out or melted away.

Swapped the light units out for the ones off my parts car after that.
