I am unable to move my freelander drivers seat in any direction. Checked fuses and all ok, what should I look at next

A bit more information would be helpful, like year an spec of the vehicle, does it have memory seats or normal electric?
A please or thankyou would be nice too.

Thanks for showing interest in my problem. its a Freelander HSE TD4 Auto registered May 2011. I am not sure if it has memory seats but I had to have a new battery several weeks ago and it is since then the seat has not worked. Is it easy to find out if it has memory seats. I have no knowledge of cars workings being female and at the doggy age of 77yrs. Do you think I should go back to the garage and ask them to check

Is there no manual levers for the seats for adjusting. Probably finding the seat memory cancelled as soon as the battery replacement. Few modern cars have two batteries main and internal system computer. Having one main more likely cleared the car computer of settings.

Hse spec has the memory. If next to the seat button controls there are numbers then it has memory seat settings.

As above. There are 3 buttons numbered 1 to 3. These are the memory buttons, giving 3 memories for the seat and door mirrors.
Sometimes if a replacement battery isn't connected smartly (terminal not allowed to spark) it sends voltages through the electrical system which upsets the controller modules (there are over 30 in an HSE), so I expect the seat memory module has got corrupted. The best thing to do is to disconnect the battery for a few minutes, then connect it again properly, by slapping the terminal onto the battery quickly to prevent sparks.
Once done, look through the owners handbook on how to reset the windows, seats, infotainment system and whatever else needs resting after the battery is reconnected.
