Hi I'm New to this.. Can anybody help I'm thinking of buying a Range Rover SE. P38...1997 4LTR.. I'm told it was in an accident which damaged the Drivers door. The door has been replaced and a new wiring loom has been fitted (due to person who replaced door cut the original Loom). Now I have a plug which seems to be spare and I cannot get the car to start even going through the key sequence.. there seems to be no electronic parts on the Handle... should there be? and what have I got missing? The car was working fine after the accident this has only happened since changing the door... can any of you guys help please.......DEK

Where to begin?

So, you saw the forum, and thought where better to ask a question about a Range Rover than the Introduce Yourself section! Brilliant.

Must be confusing having to decide between the 'Range Rover' section and all the other sections with odd names like 'Series' and 'Discovery' .. they all sound alike so i'll just bang it in the first section without as much as a 'Hello, I'm blind'.

If you really are in trouble try the 'off road' section because obviously thats where all the repairs are done.

:welcome2: First of all, if your thinking about buying this, DON'T ,

anyone who can get that wrong, cuts corners as well as wiring looms.

Well thanks for all he useless comments and from reading them none of you have any brains so I must look else where for my answers maybe the local nut house the residents there have probably got more common sense and a lot more polite than you ever could be.... so if this is how you treat new comers then i won't bother again.. dont bother replying I wouldn't want you to over tax those useless brains of yours as I won't be reading the answers... or usuing this stupid site again.... thanks for nothing dick heads...
