Disco 1 Drivers door not opening

Hi guys
Sorry if this has been done before but my drivers door will not open from the outside am i looking at replacing the little round spring that seems to fail in the mechanism and is it much of a ball ache to do what with the central locking etc.

A symptom of a broken lock spring is the door pin rises and then drops back down locking the door.
As your issue is only when using the key in the lock and not with the central locking it seem it's a lock or barrel problem.
Yes, there is lots of info on 200 and 300 D1 locks and locking already on this and other Fourms.

cheers discool the pin dose drop a little bit main problem is when pulling the handle it wont open but will from inside

Okay, so it is a could be, you will have to remove to find out, u don't have a central locking fob then?

no mate i don;t but i think somebody put something like a panic button inside so you could lock yourself in
