Drivers Door Check Strap 2002 90 CSW

It looks like I am going to have to replace the check strap bracket on my 2002 90 CSW. I am talking about the bracket with the channel and the buffer block fitted to the bulkhead pillar.
Is this bracket simply bolted into rivnuts on the pillar or is there any welding involved?
Want to know how difficult to expect the removal to be without carving up the pillar too much.

No welding involved.

Remove the check strap cover, theres two small bolts holding the arm in place that keeps the door open and one large one which has a nut on the engine side of the bulkhead. Spray plenty of PlusGas on there and remove. Use copper slip to replace
